Has your faith ever been tested? Have we ever felt like the blind man in the Gospel on the side of the road begging?
Do we know and serve our Lord Jesus Christ? How strong is our faith? How strong is it when it is tested? Our faith should be in one person only, our Messiah Jesus Christ and when challenged our prayers need to increase and grow stronger. Our faith should appeal to God on mercy not merit.
What can our faith help us become? I at times struggle, I am just being honest. I think we all do. I have a lot of self doubt and I am a very impatient person. My weight bothers me, self image and self doubt. Trust me I pray to Jesus, I attend mass, I have faith, and I go to confession but I am also a weak man, who struggles. It is in these times when we are called to be humble and more faithful. Acknowledging our Grace and Mercy received by Christ. In order to understand this we must come to Christ as this blind man did, stricken by an affliction, and poor but faithful. He earnestly wanted his eyes open. He wanted to see salvation. Are our eyes closed? Mercy is so close – let your faith see it!
